The Beautiful Place of Semeru Mountain

Semeru Mountain is located between the city of Lumajang and Malang. The other name of Semeru Mountain is Mahameru Mountain. Semeru Mountain is the highest mountain around East Java, with altitude of 3.676 meters from sea level. When we stay on the top of Semeru Mountain, we will be able to see the beauty of some cities. Besides, we will feel closer to the sky. Semeru Mountain has a very low temprature so that why over there is very cold because many plants grow there and serve us a peaceful situation. Semeru Mountain also has some valleys and hills. While we stay on the top of the hill, we can see the amazing scenery of the beauty of some lakes in the mountain slope, such as Rane Pane (Pane Lake), Ranu Kumbolo (Kumbolo Lake), Ranu Darungan (Darungan Lake) and Ranu Regulo (Regulo Lake). These four lakes have a very clean water with many kinds of fish inside. Around these lakes also grow some beautiful flowers such Lavender and Orchid.

            Semeru Mountain is in the area of Taman Nasional Tengger Semeru because there are various animals and flowers, for the examples are spruce, pine, lavender, orchid and animals such eagle, mousedeer etc. Because of the beauty, Semeru Mountain had ever been chosen to be the place for shooting a film entitled “5 cm” and oftenly become a favorite place to be visited. And finally, Indonesian people must to keep and preserve the environment in the Semeru Mountain.
